SONIA OLENIAK is a Polish-American film director and writer. She had a hybrid childhood growing up in three cultures & countries: France, Poland, and California in the US.
Sonia’s most recent film Coral won the Grand Prix at the Warsaw Film Festival, and screened at the 61st New York Film Festival, International Film Festival of Rotterdam, International Film Festival of Oberhausen, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Film Festival, New Horizons International Film Festival, the Science New Wave Festival, and more. Sonia is a founder of Lamella Films and is currently writing and developing her debut feature film, an adaptation of The Hearing Trumpet by Leonora Carrington. She studied film at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. ︎site
